HARDEX® Thread lock anaerobic adhesives are applied in liquid form and cures in the absence of air. The primary function is to seal the space between threaded metals parts. After curing it provides a strong adhesive bond to secure against loosening from shock and vibration. It also acts as a sealant to seal the threads from leakage and prevent rust and corrosion. Thread lock is available in a selection of viscosity and adhesive strength.
1️ ITEM: HARDEX® Nut Lock 6242
▪ DESCRIPTION:
Thread lock 6242 is a removable anaerobic thixotropic thread locker of medium strength and medium viscosity. It is designed for general fastening application to metric or conventional sizes of nuts and bolts from ¼” to 3/4” diameter. It does not migrate or drip after assembly due to the specially designed lubricating properties. Its medium strength permits disassembly for service and repair. Used on gear box, drive shaft, hydraulic system bolts, low strength bearing mounts, counter sunk screw, conveyor or roller bolts and construction equipment.
2️ ITEM: HARDEX® Nut & Bolt Lock 6262
▪ DESCRIPTION:
Thread lock 6262 is an anaerobic thread locker of high strength and medium viscosity. It is specially designed for heavy duty threaded fastening application which is resistant to heavy shock, vibration and stress loads. It does not migrate or drip after assembly due to the specially designed lubricating properties. Colour coded red. Heat may be required to disassemble the part. Use on rail track bolts, construction equipment bolts, automotive and off-road equipment.
3️ ITEM: HARDEX® Stud & Bolt Lock 6271
▪ DESCRIPTION:
Thread lock 6271 anaerobic thread locker is a green coloured coded medium to high strength and medium viscosity for general purpose fasteners. Excellent chemical and fuel resistance. It helps to prevent loosening of bolts, screws and studs up to 1” diameter from vibration. Heat may be required to disassemble the part. Ideal application for valve sets, fasteners on vibrating machines, automotive suspension bolts, refrigeration parts, transmission and engine block studs.
4️ ITEM: HARDEX® Heavy Duty Bearing & Bolt Lock 6277
▪ DESCRIPTION:
Thread lock 6277 permanent anaerobic thread locker is a red coloured coded high strength and high viscosity to use on coarse threaded fasteners providing permanent assembly. The viscosity of 5,000 – 6,000 cps allows gap filing up to 0.40mm. Heat may be required to disassemble. Ideal applications are loose fitting bearing shafts, flanges, piston rods, big plant furnace studs, locking bolts and studs up to M36.
